With the Galaxy S  series already creating magic in the mobile terrain, Samsung Mobile has decided to augment the experience these smartphones proffer. By launching a number of premium accessories for the Samsung Galaxy S series, the company endows users with the ability to make the most of their handset. This lineup of accessories consists of a vehicle dock, a desktop dock and a backup battery charging system.

The Galaxy S portable vehicle dock assists in mounting the handset to the dashboard or the windshield. It offers a handsfree GPS navigation experience as it is capable of displaying turn-by-turn instructions. Packing in a USB connection to charge the phone while traveling, this peripheral swivels freely from portrait to landscape modes. Mobile aficionados can activate Google Search by Voice feature when the phone is in the dock. Plus, they can receive and display location-based information as well as the most recent traffic alerts.

Samsung NB30 netbook gains touchscreen, inflated price tag

A touchscreen on a netbook may not be everyone’s idea of a good time, but it looks like Samsung thinks there’s a sizable enough market for them, as it’s now introduced a touchscreen-equipped counterpart to its NB30 netbook. Dubbed the NB30 Touch, this version packs a 10.1-inch 1,024 x 600 touchscreen (matte, no less) and remains otherwise identical to the standard NB30, including an Atom N450 processor, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB or 250GB hard drive, and Windows 7 Starter Edition for an OS. Of course, the one other big change is the price, which comes in at €399 (or about $545) for the NB30 Touch, compared to just €279 (or $380) for the non-touchscreen version.
