Motorola’s Ming handsets revisions A1680, MT810 and XT806 went offical for different Chinese wireless carriers

Motorola has made official three Android based Mobile phones from its Ming series of handsets jointly with different Chinese wireless carriers. The three models with them being A1680, MT810 and XT806 have been made official for China Unicom, China Mobile and China Telecom respectively.
To start with MT810, a unique dual-touch handset featuring 3.2 inch touchscreen display, the device runs over China Mobile’s OPhone OS 2.0. Some of the features of the device are 720×480 video capture, 720P HD video playback and support for China’s CMMB mobile television format. Coming over to XT806 which was launched with China Telecom, the handset has Android 2.1 OS built,3.2 inch screen and dual-mode/dual-standby support for CDMA EVDO and GSM. Finally, if we take a look at China Unicom’s Motorola A1680, the handset supporting China Unicom’s WCDMA network, has both WAPI and WIFI1 high speed connectivity for mobile internet, sixth-generation SoftStylus handwriting system, 5 MP camera, GPS navigation and access to Motorola’s SHOP4APPS for more than 800 specially selected apps.

Sony Ericsson’s Xperia range is the “official mobile handset of the UEFA Champions League”

Looks like we’ll be seeing fingers breakdancing around the place during the adverts in the football for the remainder of the season, as Sony Ericsson has just revealed that its Xperia smartphone range is the “official” smartphone of the UEFA Champions League.
We wouldn’t fancy being the poor PR person who has to teach Wayne Rooney how to synchronise his Exchange account for a possible forthcoming photo opportunity…
The ad will introduce “a new mobile application developed in conjunction with UEFA.com” which will presumably be exclusive to SE handsets. Here’s the full press release. WARNING: It uses the word “leverage”. It’s a serious business one, this. We’ve clearly been added to the grown-up mailing list.

Wynncom launches Hindi QWERTY keypad phone

Mobile phone maker Wynncom today said it has launched a new handset with Hindi QWERTY keypad, priced at Rs 3,395.
QWERTY refers to the arrangement of keys on a standard English computer keyboard. The name derives from the first six characters on the top alphabetic line of the keyboard.

Oscar targets youth with the J4 handset

Oscar Mobiles has launched a new dual-SIM QWERTY handset, the J4, which is coupled with social networking features and one touch FM radio, targeted towards the youth user segment.
The handset comes with a yellow body, 2GB memory card, 2 megapixel camera, wireless FM with recorder, MP3 and video player, Bluetooth, and a micro SD card support up to 8 GB.
